Embedding videos from outside

First copy the URL of the video to the clipboard with Ctrl+C. Click on its file list and then on the box "New".

Note: The URL of the video must come from one of the above sources to be accepted. That means the URL of the video starts with the URL of the video portal.

Now insert and confirm the new media URL with Ctrl+V.

This will create an entry in your file list with an unfortunately very cryptic name that we cannot influence. We recommend that you create a corresponding folder structure in the file list for clarity.

Please also set the meta data of the video immediately: Title, description, alternative text for accessibility.

Now create a new content element at the desired location.

Then select the sub-item "Text and media" under "Typical page content".

Now select the "Add media file" function under the "Media" tab.

Now you can search your file collection for the saved URL and select it.

After you have selected the video, you can now choose between "Do not use thumbnail", "Generate thumbnail automatically" and "Use your own thumbnail".

If you have received permission from the author to include the video, you can have the thumbnail generated automatically. If this is not the case, you must use your own thumbnail.
