Windows Remote Desktop Server
The RHRK provides Windows servers on which you can work remotely from outside the campus. In this case the programs are executed on the server, the display and control is done on your own device. (Remote Desktop)
The Windows remote desktop servers (terminal servers) provide each RHRK account holder access to their own Windows desktop environment with their personal home directory.
For remote access to their personal Windows desktop, students can use the terminal servers at the address "ts‑stud.uni‑kl.de", employees log in at "ts.uni‑kl.de".
To connect to the servers from off-campus, establish the remote desktop connection to "ts‑stud.uni‑kl.de" or "ts.uni‑kl.de" via the gateway server rdsgate.uni‑kl.de. A VPN connection is not required.
The client workstations in Terminalpool 1 or Terminalpool 2 located in the RHRK building (building 34) or one of the workstations in the university library are already setup to use the Windows terminal server.

If you should run into problems setting up a remote desktop connection using a windows client you do have the option to use the Bitvise SSH client to establish a connection. Please follow the Bitvise instructions.
