Plug-in extension options

The plug-in is already preconfigured. No settings need to be made to use it for a website. If required, the plug-in can be configured individually under "Extension options".

Settings

Under extension options "Settings" there is the possibility to change specifications and thus to overwrite the default setting.

Select output mode: Defines the output/display of the news on the web page. Selection between e.g. the list view, the detail view or the date menu.

Sort by: Defines how news will be sorted.

Sorting: News will be displayed either in ascending or descending order.

Category Mode: Allows you to select which news should be displayed.

Category Selection: Select your institution and target audience here.

Include subcategories: Place a check mark if subcategories should be displayed.

Archive: Defines if all archived-only news or non-archived-only news should be displayed.

Note about the archive menu: If you create a plug-in with a date menu and want to display archived (non-active) news there as well, the list view you link to must also be able to display archived news.

Basically, the date menu must have the same configuration as its list view. Likewise, any plug-in for the detail view must have the same settings as the list view.

Time Limit & Time Restriction: fill in these fields if you want to display news at a specific time or period.

Top News: Select if you want all, or only top news to be displayed.

Starting point: Select the news folder of your institution here.
